Time to catch-up as a lot has happened since the last post. I stayed in Colusa with family through the end of July. My Uncle Max went home to Florida on July 25th. It was nice to have him in California with us and we had a good visit while he was there. My mom, Uncle Max and I went down to Los Gatos for a weekend while he was there to visit my Aunt Alice and Uncle Ray. We reminsced over some of the good times we have had as a family. Back in 1996, when the summer Olympics were in Atlanta, my Uncle Max and his family (Darlene, David, John, Morgan and Lydia) lived in Augusta. My dad, mom, brother and I went for a week, stayed with them and went to several olympic events including soccer, basketball and baseball. This picture is of my dad, my brother, my Uncle Max and his son, Morgan, standing in front of Stone Mountain:
The weekend after my uncle left, my mom and I went to San Rafael to visit friends, Mary and Scott and their two kids Nathan and Sara. We had a nice lunch, then went for a "hike" to feed carrots to the horses in the neighborhood next door. We spent a some time swinging on a rope swing near the horses and then went back to their place to play board games and have a few laughs. I flew back to the east coast on Tuesday, July 31. The trip was uneventful, which are always the best kind.
When I got back to the east coast, Dave and the boat were docked at the Newburyport Town Dock, waiting for his "crew" to get back on board. Newburyport was having their annual Yankee Homecoming celebration, with bands playing every night, fun runs, a food market on the square and lots of other excitement. My friend from college, Jennie, joined us on Friday morning and we headed south to Salem, MA for the weekend. More on that, and pictures in the next update.

While I was in CA, our friends Al and Patti, joined Dave on the boat for a cruise to Maine. They had a great week and stayed in some beautiful places including Sequin, Christmas Cove and Boothbay Harbor. Here are a few pictures of their cruise, courtesy of Patti:
